I’m always on the lookout for new tools and resources that I can use to grow my business … and help my clients to grow theirs.
This is why I can confidently tell my clients, “If you are thinking about doing something new in your business, shoot me an email before you get too distracted with figuring out HOW to make it happen. Chances are, I already have a cool, super affordable tool or resource that will do the job.”
A lot of my clients have used telesummits to grow their list, but I’ve not seen these time consuming and expensive events turn out to be worth the effort. I’d like to have a simpler, more cost effective method of growing my list.
So when I received an email about a list building tool that was super affordable and had the potential to replace the impact of those expensive telesummits, I decided to give it a try.
This list building idea itself is pretty cool:
- Create a contest with prizes that appeal to your target market.
- Promote the contest to your market.
- People who provide their name and email receive one contest entry.
- If those people promote your contest, they receive an additional 10 contest entries for each person they refer who also enters the contest.
And the price was reasonable with a one-time fee of less than $100 to host as many contests as I want.

I plan on promoting it in a number of different ways — via social media, email marketing, and Pay-per-click — so I can see what method garners the best results.
